About Attorney Tim Sechler
Tim’s estate planning practice is focused on guiding clients through the complicated maze of balancing transfer strategies, wealth preservation, and family values in the planning process.
Tim is a Combat Veteran, having served in Afghanistan as a member of the West Virginia Air National Guard. Prior to leaving the military, Tim had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. His experiences in the military have led him to thoroughly enjoy working with Veterans and their families.
Tim received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, and his Master of Business Administration from the Duquesne University Donahue Graduate School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University, majoring in Finance. Tim is licensed to practice Law in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Recently, Tim has been seen frequently as a guest on KDKA’s Pittsburgh Today Live, and has been quoted in several local print publications. For the last several years, he has been honored to be chosen as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an award given to less than 2.5% of Tim’s peers. Tim enjoys educating the public about Elder Law and Estate Planning. He has spoken to thousands of people regarding estate planning and has averaged more than 50 speaking events per year.
Tim became a Certified Elder Law Attorney* in 2017. A CELA is more than just an attorney who specializes in the field of elder law. CELAs are committed, through certification, to maintaining and improving their proficiency with continual practice and continuing legal education. Becoming certified in elder law validates a lawyer’s specialty to handle issues that affect senior citizens.
Tim and his wife, Robyn, are raising three beautiful children in their home in Mars, PA.

About Attorney Roxanne Julian
Roxanne is an associate attorney within the firm, specializing in Medicaid. She likes working with Medicaid clients in particular, because she enjoys making the process easier for families during their challenging time.
She has a diverse background that led her to her Elder Law and Estate Planning. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Her legal background prior to working at Sechler Law firm includes helping clients to obtain Social Securing Disability benefits, and working on personal injury cases.
Currently she lives in Mars with her two teenage children. She enjoys traveling, specifically exploring new destinations with her children for new and exciting experiences.
About Attorney Dawn Hamill
Dawn is an associate attorney with the firm. Her specialty is trusts, estate plans, as well as charitable and gifting strategies. She is active in our Estate Administration Department. She enjoys helping clients with their elder law needs.
Her legal background prior to working at Sechler Law firm includes assisting clients with long term care planning, protection of assets and estate planning. Additionally she assisted clients with estate administration through probate. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore Yale Gordon College of Liberal Arts, graduating cum laude, and earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore.
She currently lives in Cranberry Township with her husband and two cats. She enjoys reading, golfing, gardening and bowling.
About Christine Lorenz
Christine is our receptionist and a Client Service Coordinator and the first face you see when you walk through the door. She attended Robert Morris College and received an Associates degree in Business Administration. She has served in Elder Law for more than 6 years. In her spare time she can be found outdoors hiking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, walking or taking pictures. Christine has five children and enjoys spending time with them and her 14 grandchildren that she calls lovingly calls the "Rugrats".
About Cathy Krebs
Cathy is the firm's Senior Paralegal, assisting the attorneys with estate planning and medicaid benefits. She has over 20 years of law firm experience in the fields of estate and trust administration and estate planning. She enjoys working closely with the firm's clients to navigate the medicaid maze.
In her free time, Cathy enjoys the outdoors and reading.
About Connie Shoemaker
Connie is our Legal Firm Administrator. She received her degree from Grove City College where she majored in Communications and Public Relations. She is a writer, wife and mother. Connie enjoys outdoor activities with her family on the water, in the mountains and on trails. Her favorite place to be, aside from Sechler Law Firm, is on the beach. Connie began as funding coordinator this fall at Sechler when she moved from the classroom to the conference room. She enjoys working with clients ensuring their vision and design are designated to the right trust and beneficiary. "I like to take the pressure off the client with regard to the paperwork which can be daunting at times," she said.
About Robyn Sechler
Robyn’s main role at the Law Firm is community outreach but she assist with workshops and client services as well. She enjoys educating those in and around the area about the importance of planning for the future.
Prior to working at Sechler Law Firm, Robyn worked as a registered dietitian at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for 10 years.
Robyn was born and raised in Pittsburgh and now calls Mars home with her husband Tim, and three children. Robyn enjoys cooking, reading and staying active.
About Nicky Voynick
Nicky Voynick is the Case Manager for the firm. She has a heart for educating and making people feel welcome. She helps to cast the vision for your estate planning needs. Nicky also serves on the Board of Directors for both the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce and Bethany Christian Services. In her free time, she passionately leads Women’s Bible study at Grace Community Church.
About Noel Amber Fischer
Noel is a Paralegal for the firm. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she earned a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Political Science and graduated from Duquesne's Paralegal Institute through the School of Law.
Noel very much enjoys the aspect of the Medicaid work that she does. She finds great satisfaction in helping those in need during one of the most stressful, confusing and vulnerable times in their lives. She appreciates the value of the work she is involved in, and she is honored to be a part of a team that provides emotional and financial peace, and comfort to families as they navigate this difficult process.
She was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh but has lived in the Mars area since 2003 and her most favorite thing to do is to spend time with her four children.
